Melissa Plett

I have been in love with hair for as long as I can remember! I will never forget the first frenchbraid I did on myself, which ended in a giant mass of knots but I refused to let go, cause I wanted to finish it! How my arms ached! After mastering that, I went on to doing friend's hair for fun, cutting my Dad's hair as well as my two brother's, and quite often getting involved in doing wedding hair. Too often I felt frustration at not quite achieving what I was looking for, and desparately wanted to go to hair school. That dream was finally fulfilled when my husband Corey & I moved to Winnipeg from our small town of Arborg, and I attended Scientific Marvel, taking my passion to the next level with new tecniques and design ideas.

I was excited to graduate with honors in August of 2007. I completed my apprenticeship at Colors for Hair, where I learned a lot from my fellow stylists.Soon after graduating, I found out we were having our first baby. I gave birth to our greatest miracle, Katrina Elyse in October of '08. It was with a six month old baby that I did my final hair exam and received my license!

I am available to do any and all hair design, and would love to have you in my chair!

I'm delighted to have found 'Pingk'. Going to work is rejuvenating for me. I find I can express myself thru hair design, and am refreshed with a little bit of 'adult talk' throughout the week!

I LOVE being a Mom, and I LOVE doing hair, and am thrilled that I can fulfill the two most important parts of my life so fluidly alongside each other!
